The incomparable Rogue Valley  has established itself as one of the fastest growing Wine  regions in the United States. The Rogue Valley is noted for its lovely vineyards in a climate that has been conducive to producing some of the best wines in the world.

The Rogue Valley encompasses three distinct areas. The Bear Creek Trail, the Upper Rogue and the Applegate Valley regions.

The Bear Creek Trail includes numerous wineries that have award winning wines. The Bear Creek Trail area includes wineries from Medford to Ashland. These cities are the anchors and the home to such noted  attractions such as the Ginger Rogers Craterian Theater,  The Oregon Shakespeare Festival,  World Class fishing  and White Water Rafting on the Rogue River nearby , Jacksonville’s Britt  Festival , The Expo with music offerings , Rodeo’s and the Jackson County Fair!  The  nearby Deep Blue waters of  Crater Lake is one of the worlds most famous as at one time it was noted as one of the 7 Wonders of the World. With a backdrop of these attractions it’s no wonder the Rogue Valley Wine Scene has become one of the fastest growing in the  Wine Industry.

Upper Rogue Wine Country

The Upper Rogue Valley ~ Historic Gold Hill Area

As you travel through the beautiful Upper Rogue Wine Trail, you will feast your eyes on iconic landmarks of the Rogue Valley such as the Table Rocks, the Rogue River and the historical ,quaint, mining town of Gold Hill. At each winery, you have the opportunity to celebrate what makes the Upper Rogue Wine Trail unique.

The Applegate Valley Wine Trail

The Applegate Valley’s wine history began in 1852 when an early area settler named Peter Britt planted wine grapes. In 1873, he opened Valley View Winery, Oregon’s first official winery. Valley View closed in 1907 but that was not to be the end of the Applegate Wine Trail. In recent years several wineries have opened with tasting rooms that rival that of Napa Valley. The close proximity to the Historical town of Jacksonville ,which is home to the Britt Festival and and Oregon’s Only 5 Star rated restaurant the Jacksonville Inn,has proven a boon for both Jacksonville and the Vineyards that make up the lovely Applegate Valley Wine Trail.
